Stop blog for a week...going to see the fiords in Norway

Hey guys, stop for one week .. yes switch off!! I m going tomorrow morning in Norway.. Scandinavia will be complete! First stop Oslo..Why?But because there is the Munch's museum

or a Viking museum..
But basically I m going to Norway coz I wanna see the Fiords..
And I m going to Bergen the second biggest city of Norway.
From wiki:
The city is located on the south-western coast of Norway, in the county of Hordaland, with its center situated between a group of mountains known collectively as de syv fjell ("the seven mountains"), although the number of mountains is a matter of definition. The first to name them "the seven mountains" was Ludvig Holberg, inspired by the seven hills of Rome.
I wanna see there the acquarium but specially..
these amazing fiords!!!
I NEED NATURE... I NEED NATURE...

Amazing not?Wonderful...
But remember:

Any Monkey Can Blog

It is true...It's true..

Advcamp: the advertising's barcamp in Italy

While in Denmark the barcamp (what is this? italian /english version) are not so important, in Italy this phenomenom is growing up.
From wikipedia:
BarCamp is an international network of unconferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies and social protocols. The name is a playful allusion to its origins, with reference to the hacker slang term, foobar: BarCamp arose as a spin-off from Foo Camp, an annual invitation-only unconference hosted by open source publishing luminary, Tim O'Reilly.

One of the next barcamp in Italy it will be in Turin between june and july and it is called advcamp: the advertising camp.
Experts of comunication and advertising but also journalistes, students will meet to discuss about the present and the future of advertising..
Everything of course for free.
The event has two sites:
https://barcamp.org/advcamp: u can sign at the camp, read what is the camp, know the argoments
http://advcamp.wordpress.com/: the blog of the event

enjoy it

The advergame of GoodYear..new generation of 3d online game..eye on Sl

My job for this week is to seed this new advergame for GoodYear. The campaign is in 15 countries and will be a success.. I m sure of it. Why? The game is pretty complex but the most important thing is the graphic..a real 3D close to a normal videogame.Leagas Delaney has worked together with digital agency Skive to produce the microsite at eaglef1.eu. Jim a Goodyear product development expert is a guide on the Eagle F1 microsite. He invites users to take a tour of his high-tech laboratory or play a driving game where you can experience the tyre’s performance. In the lab you can find out about the product, the history of the brand and view and download the virals.

Should you prefer to experience exactly how effective the Eagle F1 tyre is first hand then Jim will take you through a new racing game ‘Corner with confidence’. Here, users will be challenged to tackle the windiest roads in Europe in a race to see their name in lights in the high score table.
The 3D games are ready to be online... two things in the future will happen:
1) These kind of advergames will be played in Second Life & Co.
2) There will be many problems for the consolles..

The perception of the brands in Sl

Thanks to Kzero, I discovered a research of Reperes about the perception of the brands in Sl. The study is done with the contribution of 1,085 avatars interviewed between 13 - 18 March 2007.From Kzero:

Coming out on top is Adidas with 69% awareness from the study. No surprises here as the virtual Adidas store is an obvious interpretation of a first step into SL and is frequently referenced in the media.

BMW bests Mercedes Benz which I feel is slightly surprising and also of interest because the Mercedes island is a much better consumer venue than BMW.

Really good research

Find the network of connectivity between your bestsites

Today I found this great site called Touchgraph. They have as partner Google..
From their site:

The TouchGraph Google Browser reveals the network of connectivity between websites, as reported by Google's database of related sites.

U need only the latest version of Java and go..
I made two researches. One for Secondlife and one about my blog;

Secondlife

Viralavatar
I dont understand why my blog is without link.. anyone can reply me?
Anyway it is a really good site..to use for your job or just for fun..

Virtual Thirst competition..new Coca-Cola campaign in Secondlife

According to Mark Wallace of 3pointD.com, "Coca-Cola is taking its first steps in the virtual world of Second Life with a contest in which SL members will be invited to “imagine a virtual vending machine with limitless possibilities.”
Imagine a world in which a simple vending machine could dispense-nor Coca-Cola- but the ESSENCE of Coca-Cola, refreshment, joy, unity, experience
From the site of Coke campaign Virtual Thirst
play is simple:
1) send via mail
2) upload the video on youtube. here an example:

3) drop off in world
4) friend "virtual thirst" on myspace

and then of course there is an island with the event. Here the SLurl
The campaing was created to Million of Us and Crayon

New cool viral for Converse.

I saw this morning new viral for Converse and I m really starting to understand that this kind of videos are the real viral videos of success.
The video speak about a fake student of IT who has linked a converse shoe with a USB cable. In this way the shoe can moves or dance...
Great viral idea.

It seems viral fake videos are gaining more success then funny videos.
An example is the Quicksilver "dynamite surfer". It was an our client (10,8 million od views till now..)and the campaign had had a lot of wievs.. more then the viral funny videos.

Jpod.. finished!!

It was the 6th of September when I wrote for the first time about JPod of Douglas Coupland. Ok they are a lot of pages (447) but it is not possible read a book in 7 months.. But I did it.. This book rappresent for me my danish experience.. and finally I finished it.
I advice u to read that..
about the story:
JPod is a novel by Douglas Coupland published by Random House of Canada in 2006. Set in the early 2000s, it concerns a group of video game programmers whose last names all begin with "J". They live and work in a development "pod", which they refer to as the "jPod", within a company that Coupland has described as "resembles, but legally no way is Electronic Arts", located in Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaElectronic Arts has an important branch in Vancouver and its suburb Burnaby). As in Coupland's other novels, the characters can be said to face issues that define their era. (from wikipedia)

at least I understand 3 big things and I ll put all of them in my thesis:
1)The 3 things you can't fake are: erections, competence and creativity pag 153

2) life is dull, but it could be worse and it could be better we acceprt that a corporation determines our life's routine pag 428

3) our laptop is most important of our lifes! my idea after red jpod

That's all falks!

Finally the blogcontest!!!...with some problems..

Here we are...finally the italian marketing blog contest 2007..

Here the board with all bloggers..
and here the board with me and my future ipothetical challengers.
The first one is DanieleOrsi
Hoping to continue...
Just a note.. we were more then 32 bloggers but someone is been deleted to the contest because has a blog too old or it is a corporate.. actually we are then 32 and someone starts without to do the first match.. I dont think it is right and anyway if the italian language is the 4th language in the blogosphere, I can't believe there arent more than 32 blogs..
Anyway.. the fight begins..

Google flies in the advertising world only with 2 clicks..

Google Buys DoubleClick for $3.1 Billion...almost twice of Youtube.. I'm not a really expert about this topic but after the reading of these articles:
micropersuasion.com
repubblica.it ( in italian)
nytimes.com
... I can think just this: The web today has only 3 synonimous:
  1. Apple
  2. Linden lab. (Secondlife)
  3. Google

But maybe, one day, all this will be called only GOOGLE..
PS: good bye Bill.. go to play with your windows..

Secondlife, one of the 10 most promising new ventures

From valleywag.com "In two threads -- one on Linked In, the other on Venture Beat -- commenters are nominating the hottest startups of Silicon Valley. We totted up the mentions on both threads. Facebook, the college social network, scores highest; with Admob, the mobile ad network, following up. Warning: we ignored obvious self-promotion, but those Valley hustlers are cunning; and we have to doubt the wisdom of any crowd that determines Linden Lab's Second Life to be one of the 10 most promising new ventures."
I mean, it is not a news.. in few time it will become biggrt then Facebook..no no..Facebook will be in Sl..

About the campaign of "Michael Stich Stiftung AIDS awareness" I spoke on my blog here.
Now, going around the net, I found this new pic, probably more impress
The claim says:
Diagnosis: Life or death depends on only 0.003mm of latex.
Note: Yearly 3 million humans die world-wide because of the consequences of AIDS.
Treatment: Get informed. Finding out can protect against infection
.

Better use condom.. no?
